Happy International Women's Day

Dear woman, It's your day today and here is a letter from me to you. Dear woman,  I admire your courage and your resilience. Your ability to keep on going for the great despite the numerous heartaches life sends your way. I see the many challenges life throws your way, from friends and family alike. The demeaning remarks though sometimes innocent and how they throw you off course. I see you trying to find yourself in a struggling world and how desperately you want to hold on to your own belief and stand by it. It is beautiful that you keep choosing the moral high road, it is beautiful that you embrace your fragility and use it to your good, that you see that even in your weakness, there is strength. The Bible in 1 Samuel 1 speaks of Hannah, a woman who went through so much ridicule due to her inability to give birth to a child and her despair, the bible tells us that she went to the temple and even there, faced ridicule from the priest but still stood her ground, she did not ...

Happy

Dear woman,  It's beautiful to see that you are not settling. I admire your quiet strength and your poise, I admire your determination and zeal. I admire your warmth, your ability to love despite it all, to give yourself. Your Heart is one I love. You are one who will not cower down when cornered, you speak truth and determine to rise despite it all. I love watching you speak of topics that interest you, the way your eyes light up is something else.  You are diligent and you never settle. It is a wonder that despite everything you have seen, despite the hurt and the pain, you are still standing.  You speak nothing but the truth, you tell of your pains with such courage and own up to your mistakes with such brokenness. You are a correct epitome of grace. I admire you, dear woman reading this now.  It's nice to see that you are not settling for les than and that you are continually developing yourself. It's nice to see that you know who you are.

Happy International women's day.

Dear woman, There was a time I wished I was a man for I was thrown in an environment where men were celebrated more and being a woman was not so encouraged. I gravitated towards guys more due to that, it was an unconscious act but one I did anyway. Later, I took note of this thing and decided no more, no more will I celebrate men more than I would women.  It's beautiful what you do, dear woman. It's beautiful that you take what life gives to you and stand despite it. Amidst the catcalls and the insults, amidst the segregation. Amidst it all, you do not let it stop you and keep going. It's amazing that you do not settle for less and use your strength to do good, women who would change different things and dare to be different. At times, women speak of the pain they go through every month-the menstrual cycle- and this is one that can be seen, blood... it shouldn't make sense that one is bleeding from the body but it happens because we have been given an amazing framework...
