🎶🎵Even when I don't see it, you're working. Even when I don't feel it, you're working. You never stop, You never stop working. You never stop, you never stop working.🎶🎵
Some weeks back, a particular quote by Charles Spurgeon caught my fancy and I demonstrated that by using it as my display picture(dp) on WhatsApp.
It goes thus:
"We cannot always trace God's hand but we can always trust God's heart."
Some asked me what I meant by that and I just rattled off an answer after giving it a little thought. Lately, it has been coming to mind.
I have been asking myself certain questions and I have more understanding. I asked certain questions like: What do you mean when you say this? Why would you say this? What does this mean? And I thought to share the answers here. Here goes:
Simply put, there might be some things that you have been doing, some things you are doing and you do not know how it would go. Or even better, you might be engaged in a particular thing you wish you were not involved in.
You have prayed to God and it seems like He is not listening because He is not answering you or His answer makes no sense to you.
The bible tells us of a woman who committed adultery and was brought to Jesus; The people brought the adulterated woman to Jesus to hear His answer so they could accuse Him but He was way ahead of them, He stooped down and began writing something on the ground and didn't give them an answer for some time but when He did, He said: "Let Him who has no sin cast the first stone" knowing fully well He was the only one who had no sin and gradually, they all left. They left because they realised certain things, one of it being that they were not righteous enough, not worthy enough to cast a stone. John 8:1-11.
In this story, He was literally writing something on the ground but they didn't really understand it, the bible didn't mention what He was writing but His heart was in the right place. He understood what the woman was going through, He was not going to shame her again. Afterward, He told her to go and sin no more.
You might say you have no relation to this story because you are fairly okay in your relationship with God but might I remind you of David? David was a simple shepherd boy but after he became anointed to be king, his life went from one rollercoaster to another. The annointing breaks the yoke, Yes. It announces as well.
David literally killed Goliath and one would think this would set the path for him to be king but alas, that was not to be the case. The king, Saul, wanted to kill him because he(the king) was bitter with rage against David due to the praise he received. 1 Samuel 16:12-13; 18:7-9.
This led him to hide and even beg for bread from the temple, he went into the cave of adullam and had to deal with 'less than' men(1 Samuel 21:1-6;22:1-2)
In a sense, the annointing destroyed his safe place, it destroyed his comfort zone but God needed to make him, God needed to make him, God needed his heart to be right, there are some lessons you don't learn till you go through certain things in life and some classes both literally and figuratively might need to be taken again till that lesson is learnt well.
God is not out to get you. He is not making you go through harsh situations because He does not care about you or because you do not have enough "faith", He is making you go through them because He wants to take the glory out of your life. He is letting you pass through certain situations because He loves you.
I had a class on Thursday the 26th and my lecturer said something interesting; she said, "there was a time she used to add marks for students but she won't do that anymore" and while this can be very painful especially if it's just one mark left to get an A, a B or a C , the reason behind her making this claim was so that students will sit up and do better in the next examination.
God could be like that too, it's not that He does not have your best interest at heart, He does, sometimes He just does necessary things.
Love and Grace go hand in hand. I do not know what it is you are going through that makes it seem like God does not care, I just want you to be reassured that He knows and He cares. He is going to get the glory out of whatever situation you are finding yourself in now. Just wait on Him and fellowship with Him.
We can always trust His heart to be true.
We can always trust His heart.
You can always trust His heart even if things are not going the way you planned, you can always trust His heart. Always. He knows what you need. He knows what you need and He will give you what you need, not what you want.
Thank you ma , I was blessed by this
