Life begins to mess with us and throw so much hurdles our way which often have a way of messing with our minds, our minds determine how much we do, it influences our productivity so when our mind is messed with, our productivity is as well.
What do you do when this happens to you? What do you do when you find yourself in this state?
Some do a pity party, some find a way of motivating themselves again and some just give up on their goals with the notion that this life is not for them.
Is this wise? Is this the advisable thing to do?
I was studying on the butterflies some months ago and their development intrigued me, the hurdles they went through to be butterflies, I got to understand why they were a symbol of freedom.
The life of a butterfly began in Genesis 1:4 when God created the animals and every creeping thing, it's life was threatened when the flood came as was that of other creatures but it survived even that. One thing to take note of is that butterflies do not live for so long, so for the months in which they were in the ark, there is a high chance the butterflies who went in were not the one who came out as this ark confinement took place for over a year, the male and female were constantly active so their generation would not die out.
They constantly stretch themselves and sone species even go onward to a long distance place at the end of the year so as to survive. Though they are often prey to so many predators, they do not succumb to being victims. They do not decide to stop producing, to stop being mysterious, to stop fighting for freedom, to stop looking looking for new ways to survive. They fight and they survive. The butterflies are a marvel to creation and they are the sign that no matter what happens, there are always ways to scale through.
Over the next few weeks, we will discuss about some of the stages butterflies go through, their lifecycles, their mating/relationship, their travelling, their life-span, their coping mechanisms and so on.
Yes, you are not a butterfly. You are human but I hope that as you journey with me in the next few weeks, you will come to appreciate the butterfly as much as I do and find new reasons to live.
