Last time, we went into the details of the growth process of the butterfly, it goes through three stages before it becomes a butterfly such as: An egg- A caterpillar - A chrysalis, this all equates into it being a butterfly thereby making it four life cycle stages; Egg – Caterpillar – Chrysalis – Butterfly. You can find the post below.
The caterpillar changes into a chrysalis, how is this done? It is done within the caterpillar, it recognizes it is time for change and so it begins to form a covering from its own juices, it begins to form a covering from inside out, from what it has built overtime, from its own potential and then, spin a chrysalis around itself where it can hide for sometime before it emerges to be the butterfly it was meant to be, some spend a considerably long time inside the chrysalis ranging from days to weeks to months and even years pending on when it is most favourable for it to hatch, environmental factors determines when it will hatch.

The caterpillars eat well because what it eats now will be used later, it will be utilised later, drawn from later, in this, you can see the likeness in growing so much, in acquiring knowledge in your capacity building stage now that will be utilised later, it is easy for all and sundry to know what you stand for, to see you acquiring knowledge, to continually see and measure your growth just like the caterpillars but what happens when they can't see it anymore?
What happens when it is time to rest, when God keeps you in hiding intentionally like He did to David when He took him to the Palace then out of the palace to stay amongst men of low standing and train them, what happens then? We should be able to learn one or two things from the butterfly when such a stage comes.
Despite how long it takes, the most important thing is the birthing forth that occurs at the end, the butterfly it becomes at the end is the most important thing, it's what matters at the end.
No matter how long it takes for you to stay in the place you have been called to, no matter how hidden you feel, no matter how abandoned you feel, do not forget the one who has called you. The one who has called you knows what He is doing. He is never too late.
Faithful and absolutely trustworthy is He who is calling you [to Himself for your salvation], and He will do it [He will fulfill His call by making you holy, guarding you, watching over you, and protecting you as His own].
1 Thessalonians 5:24 AMP
While this is happening within the chrysalis, we can have all sorts of things happening outside.
The chrysalis is not ignorant and as a result, disguises itself properly so it is not preyed on, it looks for an environment and does it best to become one with the environment, to be seen as one of nature in such environment, to be accepted as one of them to secure its future yet...
Some do not accept it, they do not agree to its making healthy sacrifices by moving to an effective place in order to be fully formed, to be what it is to be and as a result, some insect parasites lay their eggs all over the chrysalis so their eggs will be able to fully mature, these eggs, being the parasites they are, in turn begin to feed off the nutrients the caterpillar has provided for itself overtime and it could begin to die from inside out. This is a very painful death as it is being eaten from inside out.
A few survive this and are able to break free from this parasites and shake them off, not all are so lucky, however.
Dear Believer, in your walk with Christ, do not think you know the correct path, do not rely on your own understanding and make the mistake of believing you can have your path set out by what or where seems right. There are insect parasites everywhere. Let God be the one to lead you. Let Him be your guide. Give Him room, time and space. Allow Him be your sufficiency.
